For almost a century, Queen Mary College, Lahore has been educating generations of young students to become useful citizens of, their country. Established on 10 December, 1908 as Victoria Mary Girls High School, this progressive College soon become a premeier institution for pardah observing girls to persue education in a peaceful atmosphere. On 17 November, 1911 it was upgraded and re-named as QUEEN MARY COLLEGE after the consort of the reigning British Monarch, King George V. This school was run on the pattern of an English Public School. This institution was primarily set up for the education of the daughters of princely rulers and land-owing families of North India. Many eminent families of the Indian Sub-Continent took immense pride in having their daughters educated at Queen Mary College Lahore.
